Manchester United 4-1 Real Betis

Marcus Rashford tweeted on Monday: "I wish we could play a game today to try and put things right."

His words came less than 24 hours after Manchester United had been humiliated in a 7-0 defeat by Liverpool at Anfield.

Unfortunately for Rashford, he had to wait until Thursday night to get back on the pitch.

But it then took him less than six minutes to start putting things right by scoring a fine goal against Real Betis in the Europa League.

Rashford found the net with an emphatic finish as United took an early lead at Old Trafford in their round of 16 first leg.

The visitors hit back just after the half-hour mark when Leicester loanee Ayoze Perez scored his first ever Betis goal.

United retook the lead seven minutes into the second half when Antony curled a brilliant strike into the top corner from long range.

Bruno Fernandes then made it 3-1 by heading home from a Luke Shaw corner.

Wout Weghorst completed the scoring by dispatching a rebound for his first Old Trafford goal in the 83rd minute after excellent play by Facundo Pellistri in the build-up.
