Bournemouth Beat Manchester United 3-0 To Record First Ever Old Trafford Win
Bournemouth recorded their biggest away win in the Premier League since 2019 by thrashing Manchester United 3-0 on Saturday.
The Cherries had never previously won a game at Old Trafford but goals from Dominic Solanke, Philip Billing and Marcos Senesi fired Andoni Iraola's side to a historic victory.
Solanke's opener arrived inside the opening five minutes when he beat Andre Onana with a cheeky back-heeled finish following a low cross by Lewis Cook.
The goal came after United had fallen victim to Bournemouth's high press.
Bruno Fernandes was in United's left-back position when he chipped a hopeful pass towards Scott McTominay, who was unable to control the ball under pressure from Cook.
Cook then sprinted passed Sofyan Amrabat before firing in a cross, which Solanke craftily diverted past Andre Onana.
Bournemouth twice went close to doubling their lead during the first half.
The Cherries had a Marcus Tavernier goal disallowed for offside before Solanke hit the post with a fierce shot that had beaten Onana.
Bournemouth's second goal eventually arrived in the 68th minute when Billing rose above Luke Shaw - who was playing as a center-back - to head home from a Tavernier cross.
Another Tavernier cross then set up Senesi to complete the scoring five minutes later.
Bournemouth thought that they had scored a fourth goal in added time when Dango Ouattara put the ball in the net after United's defense was undone by more excellent pressing.
But Ouattara's goal was disallowed for handball following a VAR review.
United have now lost 3-0 in three of their last five home matches.
