Marcus Rashford Adds to His Collection of Manchester Derby Goals With Stunning Strike Against City

Marcus Rashford scored a stunning goal from long range to fire Manchester United into an early lead at rivals Manchester City in Sunday's derby.

Marcus Rashford scored a stunning goal from long range to fire Manchester United into an early lead at rivals Manchester City in Sunday's derby.

The 26-year-old rocketed a shot into the net via the underside of the crossbar from 25 yards in the eighth minute after being teed up by Bruno Fernandes.

This was Rashford's sixth goal in a Manchester derby, coming in his 20th career appearance against City.

His first was scored back in March 2016 in a 1-0 United win at the Etihad Stadium.

However, Rashford found himself on the losing side on Sunday after City hit back to win 3-1 thanks to two goals by Phil Foden and one from Erling Haaland.

Rashford's record against Man City

In addition to his six goals against City, Rashford has one derby assist to his name.

He has been on the winning side in six of his first 20 appearances against City, losing 12 and drawing two.

United had won three of the first five Manchester derbies in which Rashford scored.
