Marcus Rashford Punishes Sloppy Spurs After 55-Yard Bruno Fernandes Assist
Tottenham Hotspur's defense was cut wide open by a 55-yard ball from Bruno Fernandes just before half-time in Thursday's Premier League clash with Manchester United.
United were already 1-0 up when Fernandes launched a long-range pass towards Marcus Rashford.
It was 2-0 moments later as Rashford collected the ball, roasted Eric Dier one-on-one and then smashed a shot past Fraser Forster.
As brilliant as Bruno's pass was, it was such an easy goal for United to score.
With Spurs overcommitted in attack, Fernandes had a huge area to play into after collecting the ball from Antony, who had won it from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Rashford, who had earlier claimed an assist for Sancho's opener, has now scored 29 goals for United this season.
Tottenham were booed off at half-time
But the home fans witnessed a much better showing by their team after the interval as goals from Pedro Porro and Son Heung-min earned a 2-2 draw.
