Arsenal 3-1 Chelsea

Martin Odegaard scored twice goals as Arsenal stormed into a 3-0 lead inside 39 minutes of Tuesday's London derby against Chelsea.

Odegaard produced two emphatic left-foot finishes after being set up by midfield teammate Granit Xhaka for both of his goals.

Gabriel Jesus scored Arsenal's third from inside the six-yard box after three Chelsea defenders had thrown themselves to the ground in an attempt to keep the ball out.

Chelsea pulled one back in the second half when Noni Madueke scored his first goal since moving to Stamford Bridge in January.

Madueke's strike was only the second goal Chelsea have scored in eight matches.

It was not enough as the Gunners secured a 3-1 victory to take them top of the Premier League for at least the next 24 hours.

Tuesday's game was Chelsea's sixth fixture since Frank Lampard was appointed as interim manager last month.

Chelsea have lost all six of those games.
