Mo Salah is the first player ever to score in each of Liverpool's opening five home games of a Premier League season after netting in Sunday's 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

Salah maintained his scoring run at Anfield by punishing a major error by Forest keeper Matt Turner in the 77th minute.

Playing as a sweeper-keeper, Turner got caught out when attempting to intercept a long-range pass from Dominik Szoboszlai.

American Turner - who was more than 30 yards away from his goal - appeared to get distracted by Forest defender Harry Toffolo before misreading the bounce of the ball.

This allowed Salah to collect Szoboszlai's pass before rolling a shot into an empty net.

Szoboszlai had earlier assisted Darwin Nunez for Liverpool's second goal of the game, after Diogo Jota had scored the opener.

Jota celebrated his goal by holding up a Liverpool jersey printed with the name of Luis Diaz, who had been left out of the squad after his parents were kidnapped in Colombia.

Sunday's win saw Liverpool move to within three points of EPL leaders Tottenham.

Meanwhile, Forest dropped a place to 16th, falling behind Everton - who won 1-0 at West Ham on Sunday.
