Manchester United won 4-2 at League Two side Newport County on Sunday to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Bruno Fernandes fired United into an early lead in South Wales thanks to a powerful strike from 17 yards.

The Premier League outfit appeared to be cruising when 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo made it 2-0 in the 13th minute by scoring his first goal for United with a low curling finish from just inside the penalty area.

But Newport hit back. Bryn Morris got the underdogs back into contention with a long-range rocket before half-time.

Will Evans then drew the hosts level by getting on the end of a fine low cross from Adam Lewis.

However, United retook the lead in the 68th minute when Antony scored his first goal of the season by converting a rebound after Luke Shaw had struck the post.

An emotional Antony celebrated by falling to his knees and pointing to the sky, before grabbing the badge on his United jersey.

Rasmus Hojlund later sealed victory for United in added time by scoring the first goal of his FA Cup career.

United will be away in the fifth round when they will face either Bristol City or Nottingham Forest.
