Pedro Porro Blasts Tottenham Past Burnley With Stunning Goal In FA Cup
A moment of magic from Pedro Porro saw Tottenham Hotspur overcome Burnley in the third round of the FA Cup on Friday night.
Porro scored the only goal of the game in the 78th minute when he blasted a brilliant shot into the top corner from outside of the penalty area.
This was Porro's first goal of the season and only the second of his Spurs career.
Porro's superb strike maintained Tottenham's record of scoring in every game since hiring Ange Postecoglou as manager.
But Spurs - who were missing captain Son Heung-min due to an international call-up - were not at their fluent attacking best on Friday.
Dejan Kulusevski had an off-day, while Richarlison was wasteful and Brennan Johnson failed to beat Burnley keeper Arijanet Muric with six attempts at goal.
Muric almost produced a last-minute assist to tie the game at 1-1 when his flick-on from a corner found Zeki Amdouni, who missed the target from close range.
Elsewhere on Friday, Fulham beat Rotherham 1-0 at Craven Cottage, while Wolves drew 1-1 at Brentford.
