Shocking scenes followed Monday's Glasgow derby between Celtic and Rangers in the Scottish Women's Premier League.

Caitlin Hayes scored a 99th-minute equalizer to earn Celtic a 1-1 draw after Brogan Hay had earlier fired Rangers in front.

But the drama did not end at the final whistle.

Celtic manager Fran Alonso was on the pitch shaking hands with players from both teams when a member of the Rangers coaching staff appeared to headbutt him from behind.

Rangers assistant manager Craig McPherson shouted something before pushing his head into Alonso's.

McPherson was then pulled away from Alonso, who seemed to be in shock.

Alonso was later shown a replay of the incident as he spoke to Sky Sports in a post-match interview.

Asked what had happened, Alonso replied: "I don't know. As you can see there, somebody just pushed me from behind. I don't know [why]. I never talked to him during the whole game."

Alonso added: "I was called a 'little rat' but I don't know why."
