Rasmus Hojlund Almost Breaks San Marino Net With Brilliant Goal For Denmark
Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund scored a brilliant goal for Denmark against San Marino in a Euro 2024 qualifier on Tuesday night.
It arrived just before half-time to fire Denmark 1-0 ahead in Serravalle.
Mohammed Daramy slid a pass into Hojlund's path and the 20-year-old unleashed a powerful angled strike with his left foot that almost broke the San Marino net.
This was Hojlund's seventh goal for Denmark, coming in his 10th senior international game.
San Marino equalized courtesy of midfielder Alessandro Golinucci just after the hour-mark but Yussuf Poulsen secured a 2-1 win for Denmark with a strike in the 70th minute.
Denmark now sit second in qualifying Group H, four points ahead of Kazakhstan in third with two rounds of fixtures left to play.
