Robert Lewandowski Uses Bruno Fernandes Penalty Technique To Score Against Manchester United
Robert Lewandowski scored from the penalty spot to give Barcelona the lead in Thursday's UEFA Europa League second leg against Manchester United.
The penalty was awarded by referee Clement Turpin after United midfielder Bruno Fernandes had pulled the jersey of Barca left-back Alex Balde.
Lewandowski's penalty technique was very similar to the one often used by Fernandes.
The Barca striker hopped, skipped and shot with his right foot.
It worked... just. United keeper David de Gea got his hand to the ball but only succeeded in diverting Lewandowski's shot onto the inside of the post before it bounced into the net.
This was the first penalty goal of Lewandowski's Barca career.
United fought back to win the match 2-1, securing a 4-3 aggregate victory and a place in the Europa League's last 16.
