Sadio Mane Scores His First Saudi Pro League Goal But Al Nassr Lose To Jordan Henderson's Al-Ettifaq

Sadio Mane scored the first goal of his Saudi Pro League career on Monday but it came in a defeat as his Al Nassr side lost 2-1 at Al-Ettifaq.

Mane was captaining Al Nassr in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, who had suffered an injury during Saturday's 2-1 victory over Al-Hilal in the Arab Club Champions Cup final.

Ettifaq were skippered by Jordan Henderson, while Steven Gerrard - another of Mane's former Liverpool teammates - was managing the home side.

Mane got the better of Henderson to score the game's opening goal in the fourth minute.

Henderson tried to tackle Mane in the build-up to the goal but the Senegal forward was able to poke a pass into the path of Abdulmajeed Al-Sulaiheem.

Mane then ran into the box where he eventually beat Henderson to a low cross to put Al Nassr 1-0 up.

Mane was mobbed by his teammates as they celebrated in front of the home supporters.

But it would be Henderson, Gerrard and Co celebrating come the final whistle.

Sweden forward Robin Quaison drew Al-Ettifaq level two minutes into the second half before former Lyon striker Moussa Dembele completed the turnaround moments later.
