PSV Fan Tries To Attack Sevilla Goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic But Gets Pinned Down
A PSV Eindhoven fan ran onto the pitch and attempted to punch Sevilla goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic.
The incident occurred at the end of Thursday's Europa League game at the Philips Stadion.
PSV won the game 2-0 but Sevilla progressed 3-2 on aggregate to the round of 16.
Dmitrovic pulled off three saves in the second leg and was shown a late yellow card for time-wasting.
But he wasted no time in disarming his attacker, before pinning him to the ground.
Stadium security staff then arrived on the scene to take the violent pitch invader away.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Dmitrovic said: "It's never nice to see this in football.
"It shouldn't happen and, from now on, I hope these things are well punished.
"He came and pushed me from behind. He was probably angry about the result. He tried to hit me and I managed to grab him and wait for security to arrive."
Serbian Dmitrovic, 31, joined Sevilla from Eibar in July 2021.
