Sheffield United Win For First Time This Season After Late Drama Against Wolves
Sheffield United won a game for the first time this season after a penalty scored in the 10th minute of added time secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Wolves.
The Blades had lost nine and drawn two of their opening 11 matches in all competitions, scoring seven goals and conceding 29.
But Cameron Archer fired the Yorkshire side 1-0 up with a thunderous strike from 24 yards in the 72nd minute on Saturday.
Wolves hit back when Jeanricner Bellegarde equalized by scoring his first ever Premier League goal.
However, Oliver Norwood would later spark wild scenes of celebration at Bramall Lane when he emphatically converted a spot-kick after Fabio Silva had fouled George Baldock.
Saturday's victory was not enough to lift Sheffield United off the bottom of the Premier League table.
However, Paul Heckingbottom's men are now just one point behind Bournemouth in 17th place.
Sheffield United will host Bournemouth on November 25.
