Julian Nagelsmann's Germany Beat USMNT Despite Christian Pulisic's Superb Solo Goal
Christian Pulisic scored one of the best goals of his career on Saturday night.
It came 27 minutes into an international friendly between the United States and Germany in East Hartford, Connecticut.
USA captain Pulisic fired his side 1-0 up with a stunning solo goal that began with him receiving a pass from Folarin Balogun on the left touchline, midway inside the Germany half.
Pulisic embarked on a dazzling dribble that saw him evade four opposition players before bending a brilliant shot into the top corner of Marc-Andre ter Stegen's net from 20 yards.
This was Pulisic's 28th senior international goal, coming in his 64th appearance for the USMNT.
It was not enough to prevent his team falling to a defeat against a Germany side playing for the first time under the leadership of new manager Julian Nagelsmann.
Germany equalized shortly before half-time courtesy of a goal from Ilkay Gundogan following some excellent work by Leroy Sane.
Niclas Fullkrug and Jamal Musiala then scored after the break as Germany began the Nagelsmann era with a 3-1 victory.
