Vinicius Junior was sent off for slapping Hugo Duro on Sunday as Real Madrid lost 1-0 at Valencia in La Liga.

The Real winger struck Duro in the face in added time after the Valencia forward had grabbed him around the neck.

Vinicius was shown a straight red card following a VAR review but Duro escaped unpunished.

Brazilian Vinicius had earlier been on the receiving end of some racist abuse from the crowd at the Mestalla Stadium.

This all happened after Diego Lopez had scored the only goal of the game in the 33rd minute.

Real's defeat came hours after local rivals Atletico Madrid had won 3-0 against Osasuna.

Atletico now sit second in La Liga, one point ahead of Real.
