Warren Zaire-Emery made history on Wednesday night by becoming the youngest player ever to score for Paris Saint-Germain.

The 16-year-old French midfielder marked his 10th senior appearance with a confident strike in added time to seal a 3-1 win at Montpellier in Ligue 1.

Zaire-Emery collected the ball from Achraf Hakimi on the right wing before dribbling into the penalty area and drilling a fierce shot past Benjamin Lecomte.

Montpellier keeper Lecomte had earlier won a spectacular duel with PSG striker Kylian Mbappe.

Lecomte saved an eighth-minute penalty from Mbappe, only for a VAR review to order a retake due to encroachment.

Mbappe tried again to beat Lecomte but the keeper saved his second penalty too.

An injury then forced Mbappe off the field before half-time.

But Fabian Ruiz and Lionel Messi fired the champions into a 2-0 lead with goals on 55 and 72 minutes respectively.

Arnaud Nordin pulled one back for Montpellier in the 89th minute but PSG wrapped up their victory in added time courtesy of Zaire-Emery's big moment.
