It took Lionel Messi just eight minutes to score on his first start for Inter Miami.

The 36-year-old - who netted a 94th-minute winner direct from a free-kick in a 2-1 victory over Cruz Azul on Friday - opened the scoring against Atlanta United on Tuesday.

His first Miami goal from open play was set up by former Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets, who cut through the Atlanta defense with a fine through pass.

Messi hit the post with his initial effort before converting the rebound with his right foot.
