Roberto Firmino marked his Saudi Pro League debut forย Al-Ahliย by scoring a hat-trick in a 3-1 win over Al-Hazm on Friday night.

The former Liverpool striker - who captained Al-Ahli at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium - opened the scoring with a neat near-post header in the sixth minute.

He then made it 2-0 with a tap-in four minutes later.

Firmino's second goal of the game was set up by two fellow summer signings.

Allan Saint-Maximin ran powerfully with the ball from inside his own half, before playing a pass wide to Riyad Mahrez, whose low cross found Firmino.

Another Brazilian pulled a goal back forย Al-Hazm early in the second half when attacking midfielder Vina punished an error by ex-Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy.

But this was Firmino's night and he completed his hat-trick in the 72nd minute by smashing home a rebound after his initial headed effort had been saved.
