Manchester United Win At Wigan Thanks To Goals From Diogo Dalot And Bruno Fernandes
Manchester United won 2-0 away at League One side Wigan Athletic on Monday night to progress to round four of the FA Cup.
Diogo Dalot broke the deadlock on 22 minutes with a low strike from 20 yards.
Fellow Portugal international Bruno Fernandes later wrapped up the victory with a second-half penalty that he had won himself.
The Red Devils will now face a trip to either Newport County or Eastleigh in the next round.
United would have won by a much wider margin on Monday were it not for a superb performance by 21-year-old Sam Tickle.
Wigan keeper Tickle produced 12 saves, including a brilliant low diving stop to deny Marcus Rashford.
Alejandro Garnacho also came close to scoring when he rattled Tickle's crossbar with a powerful shot from long range.
