Unveiling her 2024 surfboard quiver, five-time world champion and Olympic gold medalist Carissa Moore has made her intentions for the upcoming competitive season clear. Recreating the art that was on her boards when she was just a youngster coming up through the amateur ranks, the red, white and blue motif celebrates the upcoming 2024 Paris Games.

“This year’s quiver inspired by my 2006 @nssasurf Nationals board ⭐️ Big thank you to @matt_biolos the team @lostsurfboards @gianbernini for recreating this blast from the past,” shared Moore on Instagram.

In one of the most historic careers in the history of the National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA), Moore won 11 national titles before turning pro and setting her sights on chasing world titles. In 2004, when she was only 11 years old, Moore became the youngest surfer to ever win the Open Women's national title.

After surfing in last month’s Pipe Masters and the Backdoor Shootout last week, Moore has been putting her time in at Pipeline and appears ready to kick off the 2024 Championship Tour season on her home turf of Hawaii.

“Excited for the season ahead,” adds Moore.

There had been a rumor circulated by some in the surf media that Moore was going to step away from the tour this season, perhaps to focus solely on the Olympics in Tahiti this July. We reported that based on how much time she’s been spending in a jersey at Pipe this winter that didn’t appear to be the case and we’d have to wait from an official statement from Moore.

Winning her last world title in 2021, Moore finished her 2022 and 2023 Championship Tour seasons ranked number two in the world. The 2024 Championship Tour season kicks off with the Pipe Pro on January 29.
