2024 Birmingham Stallions UFL Super Dispersal Draft Picks

Round Drafted - Player Analysis

Round 1 – OL Larnel Coleman

Offensive tackle Larnel Coleman originally signed with the Houston Roughnecks in December. Coleman spent time with the Carolina Panthers in mid-2022 and was released by the team at the end of training camp this year. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins.

Roster Impact: Every starting offensive lineman from the championship game is back for Birmingham. Coleman will push those guys to compete for a starting job or provide depth to the line.

Round 2 – S Alijah Holder

Alijah Holder has been a key defensive back in both spring leagues the past two years. Holder played for the Seattle Sea Dragons last season, making 25 tackles and forcing one fumble in the XFL playoffs. He played for the Houston Gamblers in 2022 for eight games and racked up 19 tackles, two pass deflections and one interception.

Roster Impact: There will be a different look at safety for the Stallions as Kenny Robinson is a favorite for a starting job. Holder has a chance to earn the other spot.

Round 3 – QB Jalen Morton

Quarterback Jalen Morton is back with the Stallions after playing on the team last season. Morton saw limited action in one game, rushing for five yards. He played in four games with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2022, throwing for 13 yards and rushing for an additional 14.

Roster Impact: Morton is comfortable with coach Skip Holtz’s offense and provides good depth behind projected starter J’Mar Smith.

Round 4 – CB Terrell Bonds

Terrell Bonds was a key figure in the secondary for the San Antonio Brahmas last season. Bonds made 14 tackles and returned 11 punts for 106 yards. He was also in the USFL in 2022 with the Pittsburgh Maulers and made 18 tackles and one interception. Bonds played in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens and in the AAF with the Memphis Express.

Roster Impact: Bonds brings plenty of experience to the table and could be one of the top three cornerbacks on the team.

Round 5 – LS Ryan Langan

Ryan Langan returns to the Stallions after being their long snapper last season. Langan had a workout with the Baltimore Ravens after the USFL season.

Roster Impact: It made sense for Birmingham to retain Langan on the team after already proving to be a reliable long snapper.

Round 6 – CB Madre Harper

Madre Harper signed with Birmingham in October and played on four different NFL teams from 2020 through 2022. In nine NFL games played, he has made four tackles.

Roster Impact: Harper is a depth player on the roster that will have to compete with Channing Stribling and Lorenzo Burns, among others, for the top spots on the depth chart.

Round 7 – RB Bo Scarbrough

The Stallions were plagued by injuries last season and running back Bo Scarbrough wasn't spared. Scarbrough only played in the season opener before being placed on injured reserve the rest of the year. In 2022 as a late addition to Birmingham, he finished with 352 rushing yards and one score on the year.

Roster Impact: C.J. Marable made for a good replacement, finishing top five in the USFL in rushing yards. Scarbrough should at least be in the rotation, if not a starter, as he is the power guy compared to Marable.

Round 8 – OT Jahmir Ross-Johnson

The Stallions brought back Jahmir Ross-Johnson after starting five of the eight games he played in last season. Ross-Johnson played his college ball at Tennessee and Texas A&M from 2018 through 2021.

Roster Impact: There will be competition at tackle with the majority of the offensive line returning. Ross-Johnson could win a spot thanks to his experience in the offense.

Round 9 – RB ZaQuandre White

The running back position took a big hit with injuries and that opened the door for ZaQuandre White to get some playing time during the season. In five games, White finished with 29 carries for 128 yards and two touchdowns. White also worked out with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Roster Impact: White will have a spot on the roster even if he isn’t the starter. His speed makes him a good complimentary piece with Marable and Scarbrough in the backfield.

Round 10 – FB Bobby Holly

Fullback Bobby Holly can do it all for the Stallions — and has been for the last two seasons. Holly’s 2023 season was cut short when he was placed on injured reserve with a pectoral injury.

Roster Impact: The Stallions can use Holly in multiple ways, but he does the hard things for the team, so if he stays healthy, he can help push the offense forward.

Round 11 – WR Myron Mitchell

Keeping stability on the team, Myron Mitchell is returning to the Stallions offense. Mitchell had 138 yards receiving and one touchdown last season. He played two seasons in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings in 2021 and 2022.

Roster Impact: Marlon Williams is back from his early season injury, and the team has a deep receiving core with Deon Cain, Victor Bolden Jr. and Gary Jennings. Mitchell will be able to find playing time on the team.
