Five Players Sign UFL Agreements for 2024 Season
With less than a month away from training camp, the UFL continues to get signed agreements from players. Five more players were signed to contracts for the 2024 season on Thursday.
Here are those players and which teams they are with:
- DB Deandre Baker (D.C. Defenders)
- DB William Likely (Memphis Showboats)
- DB Will Adams (Michigan Panthers)
- WR Blake Jackson (St. Louis Battlehawks)
- C Mike Panasiuk (St. Louis Battlehawks)
Baker ended a two-year stint with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021. He started his career with the New York Giants as the team’s first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. During his NFL career, he produced 82 tackles, one sack and 10 pass deflections.
Likely has played for multiple different football leagues including the XFL, USFL, TSL, CFL and NFL. His most recent stop was with the Houston Roughnecks last season, with 30 tackles, 0.5 sacks and one interception in 10 games. He also played for the Houston Gamblers in 2022, registering four interceptions and 63 tackles leading to a spot on the All-USFL Team.
Adams played last season with the Vegas Vipers in the XFL, totaling five tackles in five games. In his last season in college with Virginia State in 2021, he had 61 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, two pass deflections and one interception in nine games.
Jackson was one of the top receivers on the Seattle Sea Dragons last season, catching 45 passes for 440 yards and two scores in 10 games. He also played in the XFL in 2020 with the Houston Roughnecks, having five receptions for 50 yards and one touchdown.
Panasiuk has a stellar season on the offensive line for the Battlehawks in 2023 being named to the All-XFL Team at center. That earned him a workout with the Pittsburgh Steelers after the XFL season. He has played for the Carolina Panthers and Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL.
Since the Dispersal Drafts, the UFL has seen nearly 140 players sign contracts with the league.
