San Antonio Brahmas Bring in Cornerback After Placing Wilson on Injured Reserve

The San Antonio Brahmas reloaded in the secondary after losing Quincy Wilson to IR, signing former Baylor cornerback Mark Milton on Tuesday.

With injuries to its secondary, San Antonio needed to add some reinforcement. The Brahmas signed cornerback Mark Milton on Tuesday.

Milton spent last year in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers' and Miami Dolphins' practice squads before becoming a free agent.

Before going pro, Milton had a nice run with the Baylor Bears (2018-2022), contributing 97 tackles, two tackles for loss, one interception, nine pass deflections, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 51 games. He received multiple honors in the 2022 season, including First Team Academic All-Big 12 and Honorable Mention All-Big 12 selection.

San Antonio had to add more depth to the secondary after placing cornerback Quincy Wilson on the injured reserve list on Monday. Milton’s arrival will help key corners on the Brahmas like Bryce Thompson, Teez Tabor, Darius Phillips and Jordan Mosley who have played in the NFL and performed well.

The Brahmas still have some tough decisions to make before Saturday as UFL teams must be at 50 players before the regular season.
