Exclusive Clip from New Johnny Knoxville Film ‘Sweet Dreams’

Johnny Knoxville is returning to the big screen.

The charismatic movie star, who rose to prominence through Jackass, shows off his acting chops in Sweet Dreams, a new film with incredible depth. It is a baseball movie, but its real heartbeat is centered around overcoming addiction.

“A lot of the actors and the people on the set are in the program,” said Knoxville, who spoke about the filmand a myriad of other topics–with Sports Illustrated. “My character is fighting to get his life back, and that sends a good message. It can happen as long as you stick with it and work hard.”

Sweet Dreams hit select theaters on April 12 before its digital release on April 16. The star-studded cast includes Kate Upton, Theo Von, Mo Amer, and Bobby Lee.

“It’s a film about a guy trying to get his life back and his daughter back,” said Knoxville. “It’s very relatable.”
