Sources: Mikey Musumeci’s Next Fight Revealed

Musumeci will compete at ONE 167 on June 7

Mikey Musumeci is returning to action in June, Sports Illustrated has learned.

And he will be seeking to avenge a prior loss.

Musumeci’s next match is against Gabriel Sousa at ONE 167 on Friday, June 7 at Impact Arena in Bangkok. This will be a rematch from their first meeting three years ago in September of 2021, when Sousa defeated Musumeci via a north south choke.

The current flyweight submission champion, Musumeci (22-2) will not be defending his title. This will be a non-title contest, with Musumeci moving up to bantamweight for a second shot at the highly-accomplished Sousa.

Musumeci has won nine in a row since Sousa defeated him. He now has the chance to hit a double-digit winning streak, which he will do if he overcomes Sousa, one of only two martial artists to ever put a blemish on his record.
