There is a new giant in MMA.

PFL, with all its blue chip backers, lacked the roster necessary to compete with the UFC. Yet, as of today, that has changed, as the PFL has acquired Bellator.

The Bellator roster dramatically improves the PFL.

An Inside Look At The Demise Of Bellator

A press release from the PFL stated that all newly acquired Bellator fighters will become part of the PFL platform and available to compete in PFL fight franchises. It is also shared that the PFL will launch a reimagined Bellator product in 2024, known as the “Bellator International Champions Series.” This will consist of eight fight events each year hosted in major cities across the globe, which allows the PFL to make a profit in locations where Bellator is already a proven draw.

Bellator now becomes the newest live PFL fight franchise, joining the PFL League Season, PFL PPV Super Fights, PFL Challenger Series, and PFL International Leagues.

There will also be a highly anticipated PFL champions vs. Bellator champions event. The PFL Champions vs. Bellator Champions mega-event will feature the champions of each promotion in all seven weight-classes in a head-to-head epic fight experience.

Donn Davis, PFL Chairman and Founder, and Peter Murray, PFL CEO, continue to lead and operate the combined company. Details surrounding events, distribution, partnerships, and management have not yet been revealed.
