This means, for the first time in 31 years, Raw will leave linear television. Beginning in January 2025, WWE confirmed, Netflix will be the exclusive new home of Raw in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and Latin America.

The landmark deal is 10 years, according to sources close to WWE, and valued at $5 billion. This also marks the first long-term sports deal for Netflix.

Netflix will also become the home for all WWE shows and specials outside the U.S. as available, inclusive of Raw and WWE’s other weekly shows–SmackDown and NXT–including the company’s premium live events. WWE’s documentaries and original series will also be available on Netflix internationally beginning in 2025.

The move to Netflix is a bold, creative move. It opens new revenue streams for WWE, and unapologetically moves away from cable. The deal also provides an opportunity for WWE to tell more mature, in-depth stories.

As the landscape changes, this move shows WWE is leading the way into new territory.
