WWE Returning To Germany
Next summer, WWE will hold its first premium live event in Germany.
Bash in Berlin will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany on Saturday, August 31. The date of the event assures that SummerSlam will once again take place in either late July or early August.
International travel has been a priority for WWE, and that is not changing since its merger with Endeavor. Over the past year, WWE held PLEs in Montreal (Elimination Chamber), Puerto Rico (Backlash), Jeddah (Night of Champions), and London (Money In The Bank). In addition to the trip to Germany, WWE will hold Elimination Chamber in Australia next February.
Gunther, who is the reigning Intercontinental champion, is from Austria, and a great deal of his early success in wrestling took place throughout Germany. He is a strong candidate to headline the show, and it is certainly reasonable to think he will be in the world title picture by then.
Another interesting addition to the show could be former WCW star Alex Wright. “Das Wunderkind” has a wrestling school in Nuremberg, which is only a few hours away from Berlin.
