Tawanchai PK Saenchai defeated Superbon Singha Mawynn via majority decision to retain the ONE Featherweight Muay Thai world title.

The victory, attained by majority decision, closed out ONE Championship’s ONE Friday Fights 46, which took place at the famed Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.

Superbon, a former ONE Featherweight Kickboxing world champion, traded strikes in an effort to weaken the champ. His attack intensified in the fourth and fifth rounds, but he could not land the perfect kick of flying knee to land a knockout blow.

Despite the loss, the future remains bright for Superbon. The 31-year-old would relish the chance to fight in America in 2024. Considering ONE will make four stops in the US throughout the year, that is a distinct possibility.

“I love America,” said Superbon, who spoke with Sports Illustrated before the fight. “I love the people, and I have a lot of friends there. I would love to fight there next year.”

Only 24, Tawanchai is a budding superstar for ONE. He paid respect to Superbon after the bout, and the respect was clearly visible between the two proud fighters.

“I always want to compete against the best,” said Superbon.
