Top Five Fantasy Landing Spots for Lamar Jackson

Now that the star QB has requested a trade, Baltimore’s loss could be big fantasy news depending on where he ends up.

Lamar Jackson has been one of the top quarterbacks in fantasy football since he became the starter in Baltimore. Unfortunately, his time with the Ravens might be coming to an end. On Monday, he tweeted out that he wants to be traded, as the organization “has not been interested in meeting [his] value.” With the great No. 8 possibly (or now likely) on the move, where would he best fit for fantasy fans?

Here are five teams that have a need at quarterback or could look to upgrade and would be interesting fantasy landing spots for Jackson, starting in Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are in an ideal spot to draft their future quarterback with the fourth overall pick in the NFL draft. But with Jackson now available, they could deal that selection (plus others) to get Jackson. Imagine him using his great speed on turf and sharing a backfield with Jonathan Taylor? I'd love this fantasy scenario.

Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons have the second-most salary cap money available and three picks in the first three rounds of the 2023 NFL draft, including the No. 8 overall selection. Jackson would obviously be a huge upgrade over Desmond Ridder, and being in the offense improves the value of Tyler Allgeier, Drake London and Kyle Pitts.

New England Patriots

Patriots owner Bob Kraft appears to have put the ball in the hands of coach Bill Belichick as it pertains acquiring Jackson, per our Albert Breer. The quarterback would obviously be a huge upgrade over Mac Jones, and his presence would help improve the value of all the relevant fantasy options in New England's offense.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans could part ways with Ryan Tannehill, and their decision to play Joshua Dobbs late last season tells you they have very little faith in Malik Willis. So, what if the team dealt for Jackson and paired him and Derrick Henry? That would be a ton of fun. Jackson would also be good for Treylon Burks and Chigoziem Okonkwo.

Carolina Panthers

The Panthers traded a ton of picks to Chicago to land the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, but what if it changed course and sent that selection to the Ravens in a deal for Jackson? The Panthers don’t have a ton of great offensive options, though the team has added D.J. Chark and Adam Thielen. L.J. would remain a point scorer.
