Kaitlin O' Toole: Sports Illustrated is taking you inside the world of fantasy sports. Joining me now is Assize Fantasy and gambling analyst Corey Parson. Or there's been a lot of questions this offseason regarding Washington's new coaching staff and their comfort with Dwayne Haskins as the starting quarterback. What do you think we should expect to see out of him this season?
Corey Parson: Yeah, well, listen, I think they're going to give the young quarterback a shot, Ron Rivera, a new offensive coordinator, Scott Turner, assuming they're talking him up at this stage of the NFL offseason, this offseason is a little bit different. Obviously, with COVID-19. But in their virtual meeting, Scott Turner has said that Haskins has improved him. We also saw improvement from Haskins down the stretch last season. Now, obviously, Ron Rivera has a relationship with Cam Newton who is still out there and available. But I kind of feel like that move had been made already. So I think Haskins goes into this, you know, into the upcoming season with a good chance to be the DC starting quarterback this year.
Kaitlin O' Toole: All right. It could be a starter, but is he someone that you would want to start or even have on your fantasy team?
Corey Parson: Well, listen, in one quarterback leagues, it's going to be tough to roster someone like Dwayne Haskins, but one of the last quarterbacks to go off the board. But I do think he be worth a bench spot and two-quarterback leagues. I definitely will be interested in Dwayne Haskins. Listen, I think it's going to be a lot of money in football, but I think you'll become a very efficient game manager. Something like we saw Teddy Bridgewater do last season. So when two quarterback leads. I definitely think that he's a guy you can be to put on your roster and stream in and stream from time to time during the course of the season.
Kaitlin O' Toole: All right, great insight, Corey. Thanks so much for doing this for all the latest fantasy and gambling analysis. Stay with si.com
