Contract Year Players: RB Derrick Henry
There’s a growing trend for running backs in the NFL regarding their second contract as most don’t get the lucrative long-term deal they desire after their rookie contracts expire. Titans Derrick Henry is one of the more recent examples of a rusher not securing a long-term contract. Despite Henry leading the league in rushing during the 2019 season, Tennessee placed the franchise tag on their top back which will pay him $10.2 million for the 2020 season. Henry signed the franchise tender but still seeks a contract that will help secure a better salary after the 2020 season. Is money going to be a motivating factor for the Tians power back? AllTitans editor David Boclair and Sports Illustrated’s Fantasy Football analyst Ben Heisler discuss Henry’s fantasy football outlook for the upcoming season.
