Red Bull Unveils New RB20 Car to Celebrate 20 Years in F1
On Thursday, Red Bull Oracle Racing announced the launch of its new “Forever Rebl” campaign to commemorate the team’s 20th season in Formula One. The campaign will feature a globally live-streamed show and a series of special events and activations throughout the year.
Additionally, the organization unveiled the highly anticipated RB20 car Thursday to over 350 fans, team partners and members of the media in Milton Keynes, England.
“This is a momentous year in the Team’s history,” Red Bull principal and CEO Christian Horner said in a press release. “Over the past 20 years, Red Bull has succeeded in changing the landscape of Formula One and it has done it by being determined to do things differently, by being committed to playing hard and racing even harder and by being utterly focused on competing for the biggest prizes in the sport.
“We’ve been lucky enough to do that on multiple occasions and seven Drivers’ titles, six Constructors’ Championship wins and 113 race victories to date demonstrate the success of Red Bull’s vision for the Team,” he continued. “The latest chapter of that story starts today with the RB20.”
The new car boasts an eight-speed gearbox, longitudinally mounted with hydraulic power shift and clutch operation.
Defending F1 champion Max Verstappen was spotted driving the new RB20 earlier Thursday at Silverstone.
