PGA Star Collin Morikawa Reflects on Brilliant 2020 Season in Wide-Ranging Interview
It's been an absolute banner year for PGA superstar Collin Morikawa on the PGA Tour.
After play resumed in June when the PGA season was postponed due to COVID-19, the 23-year old quickly became one of the most popular names in the sport.
To kick off the restart, Morikawa fell in dramatic fashion in a playoff to Daniel Berger at the Charles Schwab Classic, but he quickly caught fire after that. Several weeks later, Morikawa went on to win the Workday Charity Open at Muirfield Village in Ohio, and later captured his first major in his home state of California at the PGA Championship at Harding Park in San Francisco.
With three wins, including a Major in his young PGA career, Morikawa joined me for a one-on-one to reflect on his exceptional year and discuss the following topics:
- How he's able to hype himself up without fans in the stands at tournaments
- How he gauges himself up with the rest of the golfers on the Tour
- Who's been the biggest trash talker on the golf course so far?
- How can golf continue to find ways to bring in a younger audience?
- Can he tell when fellow golfers are locked in entering a tournament?
- Ways to celebrate the return of fans once it is safe post-COVID-19
- Power ranking the male accessory items on the golf course
