Nine U.S. sites and one in Canada will stage qualifiers, where both Ryder Cup captains will join numerous big names while attempting to earn a spot in the field a Los Angeles Country Club.

DUBLIN, Ohio – Past U.S. Open champion Geoff Ogilvy, current Ryder Cup captains Zach Johnson and Luke Donald, PGA of America club pro Michael Block and 14 LIV Golf players will be among those attempting to qualify on Monday June 5 at various sites for the U.S. Open.

Ten U.S. sites and one in Canada will stage 36-hole qualifiers, with approximately 44 spots to be determined for the 123rd U.S. Open at Los Angeles Country Club, June 15-18.

Harold Varner III, ranked 67th in the Official World Golf Ranking and 43rd in the Sports Illustrated World Golf Rankings, is the highest-ranked LIV golfer attempting to qualify. He will be in the Durham, North Carolina, qualifier.

Talor Gooch, who would have qualified via previous U.S. Open exemption criteria via the PGA Tour’s Tour Championship before it was changed, did not enter qualifying.

Other LIV players who are attempting to play their way into the field include Brendan Steele, Carlos Ortiz, Sebastian Munoz and Marc Leishman. Sergio Garcia already earned a spot via a final qualifier in Dallas.

Block, who tied for 15th at the PGA Championship to earn a spot in next year’s PGA, will play in the Canada qualifier which precedes next week’s Canadian Open, where he received a sponsor exemption.

Ogilvy, who won the 2006 U.S. Open at Winged Foot, will join Johnson and Donald at a large qualifier in Columbus, Ohio.

Cameron Kuchar, 15, the son of PGA Tour winner Matt Kuchar – who is in the U.S. Open field – will attempt to qualify at a venue in Boynton Beach, Florida. Matt Kuchar, a nine-time PGA Tour winner, will play in the U.S. Open for the 20th time.

Ludvig Aberg, the No. 1-ranked player in the World Amateur rankings and a senior at Texas Tech, will attempt to qualify in Canada.
