Crunch time is just about here for PGA Tour players to secure their status for 2024.

After a week off, the Tour's FedEx Cup Fall continues at the World Wide Technology Championship in Los Cabos, Mexico. It's the third-to-last event of the fall, and jobs are on the line.

The top 125 in FedEx Cup points earn cards for next year; Erik van Rooyen is No. 125 right now and Zecheng Dou is No. 126. After Dou in the standings is Cameron Champ, MJ Daffue, Jimmy Walker and Patton Kizzire, all in the field this week.

Eligibility into the first few signature events next year also is based on this year's points, so staying near the top of the list—which is No. 51—is important. Beau Hossler holds that spot, followed by Taylor Montgomery, Nick Hardy and Ben Griffin, and they're all in the field too.

This week's course is the Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal at Diamante, a par-72 playing 7,452 yards. The event had been played at Mayakoba Golf Resort's El Camaleon course, but the Tour ended its relationship with Mayakoba in late 2022 after the resort was named as host of a 2023 LIV Golf event.

Oh, and if you're looking for one more familiar name: PGA professional Michael Block, hero of last summer's PGA Championship, is in the field by virtue of winning the Southern California PGA Professional Championship in September.
