The United States will have three rookies and one veteran on its four-person 2023 Pan American Games golf team that will compete at the Prince of Wales Country Club in Santiago, Chile, in November, Sports Illustrated has learned.

The U.S. team will officially be announced later this month and will be comprised of 2019 mixed team gold medalist Stewart Hagestad, U.S. Women’s Amateur champion Megan Schofill, plus Anna Davis, the 2022 Augusta National Women’s Amateur champion, and Dylan Menante, a fifth-year senior from the University of North Carolina.

Hagestad, 32, won the 2021 & 2016 U.S. Mid-Amateurs and has played in numerous U.S. Opens and U.S. Amateurs in his career.

At the 2019 Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru, Hagestad won the gold medal in the mixed team event playing with Emilia Migliaccio, Brandon Wu and Rose Zhang.

He finished 13th in the individual competition in Peru.

Schofill, a 22-year-old graduate student at Auburn University, won the 123rd U.S. Women’s Amateur on Sunday beating LSU’s Latanna Stone 4-and-3 at Bel Air Country Club.

Davis, 17, is ranked fifth in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and fourth in the AJGA rankings. Still in high school, Davis verbally committed to Auburn University if she decides to go to college instead of turning professional once she graduates high school in 2024.

Menante, 22, played most of his college golf at Pepperdine University, where he earned All-American honors twice before leaving for UNC his senior year. He's currently ranked fifth in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.

Golf joined the Pan Am Games in Toronto in 2015, with USA's Andrea Lee winning a silver medal and Kristen Gillman finishing sixth.

The U.S. men were shut out of the medal podium with Lee McCoy finishing fourth and Beau Hossler sixth.

In Lima in 2019, Migliaccio won gold for the U.S. women  while Zhang finishing eighth.

The men again failed to medal in Peru, with Wu finishing fourth and Hagestad 13th.

The 64 golf competitors from around the world will tee it up Nov. 2-5.
