It isn’t up for debate: the low-flighted stinger is one of the most satisfying shots in golf. And Cameron Young—who is contending at the British Open at Royal Liverpool—can produce some of the best in the game.

Young showed off his shotmaking prowess on Sunday when he hit a glorious stinger during the final round of the Open in miserable rainy weather conditions.

Young, hitting from the first cut on Hoylake’s 3rd hole, launched his 204-yard approach shot with such a low ball flight that the shot was visible within the same camera angle for it’s entire arc.

That caliber of stinger is a difficult shot to execute under any circumstances, but Young’s ability to pull it off during the final round of the Open in the pouring rain is worthy of significant praise.

The ball flight was nothing short of artistry, and the internet immediately picked up on it. It’s safe to say we’ll be re-watching this clip more than a few times.

The 26-year-old Wake Forest product went on to make par on the 428-yard par-4.
