With ESPN, it’s Tiger time, all of the time

When Tiger Woods plays, it’s must-see TV, whether we want to watch it or not

I agree with reader Gregory Tatoian's viewpoint of ESPN's Friday coverage of the PGA Championship (“From the Morning Read inbox,” Aug. 7). It was bush league.

That is, unless you are a big fan of Tiger Woods. It seemed as if ESPN showed every one of Woods’ shots at least 27 times. For a while, I thought the PGA was a tournament of one.

PGA of America must share blame with ESPN
ESPN blows (“From the Morning Read inbox,” Aug. 7). We all know that, but isn’t this programming decision (ESPN+) on the PGA of America, too, for allowing it?

All of the major sports, when they sign an agreement, have a say on what channels and what time.
