Charley Hull WDs from ANA Inspiration
Withdrew: Charley Hull, from this week’s ANA Inspiration, after the Englishwoman tested positive for COVID-19, she announced Tuesday on her Twitter account. Hull said she didn’t feel well on Monday but thought it might be jet lag or the effects of asthma. She will self-isolate for 10 days and work with the LPGA on contact tracing. Hull, 24, has won once on the LPGA and twice on the Ladies European Tour. She is No. 28 in the Rolex Rankings. Hull has made two starts since the season restart, finishing T-22 at the Ladies Scottish Open before she missed the cut one week later at the Women’s British Open. In seven appearances at the ANA Inspiration, Hull posted three top-10 results, including a tie for second in 2016. The ANA Inspiration, rescheduled from March, will be the second major championship of the LPGA season. Play begins Thursday at Mission Hills Country Club’s Dinah Shore Tournament Course in Rancho Mirage, Calif. (tee times).
