Announced: By the U.S. Golf Association, that Philadelphia Cricket Club will host the 2024 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship, the USGA said Monday in a news release. The club’s Wissahickon Course will be the site of stroke play and match play, and the club’s Militia Hill Course will serve as stroke-play co-host. The tournament dates were set for May 25-29, 2024. Philadelphia Cricket Club will be hosting its first USGA championship since the 1910 U.S. Open. The club had been scheduled to host the 2020 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball before the event was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Wissahickon Course was designed by famed architect A.W. Tillinghast, a club member, and opened in 1922. Militia Hill is a 2002 Michael Hurdzan-Dana Fry design. This year's U.S. Amateur Four-Ball will be played May 22-26 at Chambers Bay in University Place, Wash.
