Phil Mickelson earns $2.160 million for his age-defying victory at Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course

Phil Mickelson earned $2.160 million for his victory at the 103rd PGA Championship, the PGA of America announced late Sunday.

Mickelson posted a two-stroke victory, finishing the 72-hole event at 6-under 282 at Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course in South Carolina. He became golf’s oldest major champion, at 50 years, 11 months and 7 days.

Brooks Koepka and Louis Oosthuizen, who shared second place, pocketed $1.056 million in splitting the combined money for second and third places.
