Min Woo Lee Loves Playing Golf In the U.S. For This Hilariously Specific Reason

If you thought the 24-year-old Australian couldn’t get any more likable, he just did.

Min Woo Lee, the charismatic 24-year-old from Australia, is slowly but surely becoming a fan favorite among golf enthusiasts. Lee turned professional back in 2019, but he hadn’t been a familiar face on the PGA Tour until this season. 

That’s because Lee earned Special Temporary Membership on the PGA Tour just last month, and prior to that point, he was only a full member on the DP World Tour, formerly the European Tour. Top 10 finishes at the Players Championship and last week’s U.S. Open have majorly boosted Lee’s status on Tour, and he hopes to earn enough FedEx Cup points to become a full member very soon.

Now that Lee has unlimited sponsor’s exemptions on the PGA Tour, he’s not only able to showcase his talent in front of an American golf audience, but he also has ample time to experience life on the road in the United States. 

When asked about that adjustment, Lee had a particularly specific reason for why traveling and playing competitive golf in the U.S. has been so enjoyable for him thus far. 

“Yeah, I love America,” Lee said after Round 1 at the Travelers Championship. “So it’s nice and easy. If you want something, it’s Amazon Prime right there, you get it in a day.”

It isn’t the parkland golf courses or ample fast-food chains that have Lee hooked on life in the U.S., but the brilliant convenience of Amazon Prime.
