Tuesday has been a very informative day in men’s professional golf, as documents released by a Senate subcommittee have revealed many of the details discussed between the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia.

The documents include emails and text messages between all the big names from both parties and show how much work went on behind the scenes before the two sides made their stunning alliance announcement on CNBC

One of the more shocking proposals made by PIF during negotiations was to have Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy captain LIV Golf teams and that they would both play in 10 LIV Golf events.

There was also another bold proposal made for PIF’s Yasir Al-Rumayyan—he wanted to be given a membership to Augusta National, and he also wanted to become a R&A member.

Those proposals were just part of the talks, per the documents. But still—they were some pretty big asks.
