Co-hosts John Hawkins and Mike Purkey dish on an array of topics as the PGA Tour gathers in suburban Los Angeles with a stellar field for the final stop on the West Coast Swing. Tiger Woods’ tournament, the Genesis Invitational, reaches exalted status on the Tour schedule and attracts an all-star field to storied Riviera Country Club. Also, Purkey offers a simple solution for the distance debate on the pro tours: Slow the golf course down, narrow the fairways and grow the rough. Problem solved. However, the PGA Tour will not be complicit in any such fix, Purkey contends. After all, the Tour is in the business of selling birdies.
