Co-hosts John Hawkins and Mike Purkey marvel about Riviera, the suburban-Los Angeles site of the recent Genesis Invitational and a timeless test for the PGA Tour once again. “If they played Riviera every week, there wouldn’t be a problem with the great distance debate,” Mike Purkey said. Course setup, firm greens and modest rough made the classic course a test for any era, even the 21st-century bombers' reign. Winner Adam Scott was the only competitor who was in double digits under par for the week. Hawk & Purk take a peek at the Florida Swing, which begins next week with the Honda Classic as the run-up to Augusta National and the Masters picks up pace. The co-hosts also are left scratching their heads over the health of Tiger Woods and Brooks Koepka, plus another puzzling performance from Rory McIlroy.
