Episode 13: A caddie with character
Kip Henley, who loops for Stewart Cink these days, talks about life on the PGA Tour, with insights on the game's most colorful players, cheating, pace of play and how opposites such as a self-described ‘ol’ Southern redneck’ and Vijay Singh could work together
They don’t come any more comical or candid than longtime PGA Tour looper Kip Henley, a Southern storyteller with a pretty sharp game of his own. He’s on the bag of Stewart Cink but remembers a brief-but-hilarious stint with Boo Weekley and a volatile-but-successful run with Vijay Singh. Henley also touched upon a few hot-button topics, such as cheating on the PGA Tour (“You see it way more than the fans know”), pace of play (“It’s a non-issue”), the Tour player who got the most out of his talent (“Paul Goydos would have to be up there”) and the difference between a plus-2-handicap amateur and PGA Tour talent (“brain power”).
