Hawk and Purk discuss key issues and top players on the eve of their favorite annual gathering, the 85th edition at Augusta National Golf Club. Jordan Spieth “comes into the Masters having renewed confidence, a renewed game,” Mike Purkey says. “We’ve got a much richer list of story lines than usual,” John Hawkins adds, “… and Spieth being one of them.” Hawkins points to a commentary that he wrote in late February for Morning Read in which he predicted that Spieth looked like a threat to win at Augusta, and that was before his victory last week at the Texas Open. The co-hosts like his chances this week, but he’s not the only one being tracked by Hawk and Purk.
