How to Add Loft to Your Wedge Shots

Latest golf instruction tip: Don't try to "launch it." Instead, get your grip right for simple, soft wedge shots.

Amateurs can often struggle to hit high, soft wedge shots, and the problem often comes down to technique. In the latest episode of "Keys to Golf," PGA and LPGA instructor Cathy Kim has a simple tip to get you started in the right position. The "key' in this episode lies with how you align the club before taking your grip. Don't change your swing or try to launch the ball in the air -- just use the proper grip and setup, and your wedge will glide under the ball and land the shot softly on the green.
